“In an environment where competition is very tough, my goal has been, along with offering the best products, to help and guide people. I have always used microphones to promote the well-being of the community.”
Claudio arrived in the United States in 1981 with only $20 in his pocket and without speaking a single word of English. Although he had been a successful car salesman in Argentina (his native country), upon arriving in Florida he had to do a wide variety of jobs to survive, working as a gardener, waiter or painter, to resume his career as a salesman shortly after at a West Palm Beach car dealer where he immediately become the best salesman. After going through different dealers, in 1990 he began working at Kendall Toyota in Miami and became the number one salesman, selling 50 cars in a single month. After a while he returned to Argentina and started some business there.
The economic crisis of 2001 ejected him back to the United States where, once again, he had to start from scratch. Different events make him return to the company that received him in 1990 and despite having 100 salespeople ahead of him, he quickly manages to once again become the number one salesperson, he is later promoted to manager and in less than eight months he is in charge of the advertising department. From there to his role as marketing director was only one step. With this new responsibility in charge, it didn’t take long for Kendall Toyota to become the number one dealer in the country. Product of the successful advertisements created and starring Claudio the dealer broke sales records in the United States. In a single month it went from selling 270 Toyota brand cars to selling more than 1,200, positioning itself as number one in sales on the East Coast. Faced with such success, the business group that directs the destinations of the dealer gives him the responsibility of adding the marketing of the Lexus brand. His keen sense in business management has positioned him as one of the top entrepreneurs from South Florida.
In addition to his activities as marketing director, Claudio stood out as director and talent of his radio programs on AM and FM: “Dos a Full”. Broadcast on different stations in South Florida such as Z92, Radio Caracol and Actualidad Radio. His work alongside the International Kid Fund, a non-profit institution dedicated to the care of children with cancer, has not gone unnoticed either. His commitment to the people and his vocation to help, have made him a benchmark when it comes to organizing the collection and delivery of aid to countries such as Peru, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico in the face of the different natural catastrophes that impacted those countries. But without a doubt, the event with the greatest impact was the one organized together with the Miami County Health Secretary, which was attended by more than 2,500 people in a single day and in which free vaccination was offered to young people and children from 2 months to 18 years of age, free mammograms and confidential HIV tests as well as vaccines against hepatitis A and B.
Claudio was distinguished as a Hispanic leader by the former Mayor of Miami, Tomas Regalado, for his great social, cultural and humanitarian contribution to the city of Miami
